bc and big trees

i am in bc now, learning about trees. so you can already guess what this blog post will be about. we started off in vacouver and went to see a research forest just outside vancouver. they had some huge trees, i guess some of the biggest i have ever seen. vancouver also has an amazing park, stanley park, with some really big trees. it is so different from ontario, and there are a bunch of new trees that i haven't seen before, such as douglas fir, subalpine fir, western red cedar, bigleaf maple, vine maple, douglas maple and western serviceberry. tomorrow we are off to alberta. and i almost forgot to mention that we have seen lots of trees that are dead because of the mountain pine beetle.

Taking care of your chinese elm here it looks good but the leaves will be falling soon.

Have to plant the oak trees that you potted up from the allotment soon, so on one dark starry night i will sneak onto a roundabout and dig! See you really soonxxxxcarolxxxxxxxxx
