reclaim the word
Gay, a word is commonly used for homosexual. This means that people often think of you as a homophobe if you say something's gay! I intend to reclaim this word! Who's with me??
Gay: cheery: bright and pleasant; promoting a feeling of cheer; "a cheery hello"; "a gay sunny room"; "a sunny smile"

aye. totally! I think it would, however, be better to say that I'm in a gay mood, as I might not always be cheery.
